Advancing Our Journey
June 05, 2019
As CPRS National President, I’ve had the honour of representing our association across Canada and internationally since last year’s annual general meeting adjourned. Without question, this year has been a remarkable one filled with a huge vista of possibilities, unforeseen challenges and opportunities and most importantly, literally hundreds of people across the country offering their support, time and talent to create a stronger CPRS for the future

Behind the Scenes at CPRS National
October 09, 2019
The depth of activity and dedication of our CPRS volunteers never ceases to amaze me - it’s breathtaking! Underway are numerous projects worthy of mention that advance our professional association. We like to shine the spotlight on prize events like the National Conference or the Awards of Excellence that appear to lift off the page like a well-rehearsed script.

2019: The Year of Evolving Expectations & Major Achievements!
January 08, 2019
Happy New year everyone! Talk about starting the new year off with a bang… It’s only been a week and we’re already incredibly #CPRSproud thanks to our colleague Daniel Granger, APR, FCPRS, CM who will be receiving the prestigious Order of Canada, recognizing his work in communications and dedication to sport – in particular, the Special Olympics. The Order of Canada is the centrepiece of Canada's honours system and recognizes a lifetime of outstanding achievement, dedication to the community and service to the nation. This is such a well-deserved and remarkable honour and I hope you’ll join me in congratulating him on this outstanding achievement.

I hope you’ve had a great summer so far. Myself, I’ve spent some time during my first month as CPRS National President reflecting on the many highlights of another successful national conference, Evolving Expectations. It was a truly informative and eye-opening look at our ever-evolving profession, so thanks again to everyone who worked hard this year to create another invaluable professional development and networking retreat for our delegates.

In the spotlight today is our CPRS Local Society leadership. I tip my hat to all the local society boards, committees and volunteers for their outstanding work providing value to members and building community. More than this, they recruit new members, stage events, facilitate accreditation, manage communications, IT and finances, contribute to thought leadership, and so much more.
