The Corporate & Public Affairs team (CAPA) is hiring an experienced professional communicator who will help enhance TD's reputation as a unique and inclusive workplace through effective, compelling internal and external communications. Working alongside communication colleagues, business partners and senior leaders, you will develop, lead and drive strategies and initiatives that demonstrate TD's commitment to diversity, contribute to a positive colleague experience, and enhance TD's unique reputation and employer brand.

What you will do:

Develop and execute communication strategies and tactics that support and reflect TD's unique and inclusive employee culture, highlighting key colleague experience programs, stories and activities.

As a passionate storyteller, you will create compelling content that informs and engages internal and external audiences through traditional and new media channels.

Develop strong relationships with key partners and leaders in Human Resources and Inclusion and Diversity teams, and provide strategic communications guidance, issues and reputational management advice to build and drive effective communication plans and tactics.

Work within a Centre of Excellence for communication; collaborate with other communication professionals in CAPA and across the enterprise to drive best practices and continuous improvement.


Skills and Experience you will bring:

An experienced professional communicator with minimum 7-10 years in a corporate or agency environment, or relevant journalism experience.

Superior storyteller with exceptional writing and editing skills and a demonstrated ability to develop compelling and influential content that informs and engages internal and external audiences.

Strong background in creating and implementing strategic communication plans and developing tactics that engage diverse audiences, both internal and external.

Relationships with key media influencers and experience in generating positive media coverage. 

Proactive self-starter with ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and timelines to deliver high quality work under pressure and to deadline.

Excellent relationship management and collaboration capabilities.

Digital fluency and experience working with digital and social communication platforms.

Post-secondary education in Communication, Journalism, English or related field.
