The CPRS Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Lindsay Hugenholtz Sherk as its new Executive Director effective immediately. She takes over from Karen Dalton, Dalton Cloutier Inc. who left the Foundation in early 2019 after having served in the role for three years.

As an experienced executive director and business consultant, Lindsay brings more than 15 years of experience in the areas of executive leadership, association management, fundraising, program and project management, strategic planning, financial administration, and governance to the Foundation. She is currently serving as executive director to three other organizations and was previously General Manager, Tourism Ottawa and the Deputy CEO, Halifax 2011 Canada Games. Lindsay is fluently bilingual and holds an Executive MBA from Saint Mary’s University, is a certified project management professional, holds the Canadian Risk Manager designation and has completed partners, directors and officers’ governance training. She is situated in the Ottawa area.

“We are excited to welcome Lindsay to the CPRS Foundation,” said Deb Trouten, APR, FCPRS, board chair. “She brings a wealth of experience and is uniquely qualified to support Canada’s only national foundation serving the PR and communications profession through scholarships, research and advocacy work.”
