Corporate Communications Manager

Job Description
Now Hiring Corporate Communications Manager As the Corporate Communications Manager you would be responsible for the development and execution of internal and external communication programs that support the City’s vision, mission, business and strategic objectives. You would provide leadership and expertise in the disciplines of media relations, community relations, marketing, crisis management and public engagement. Our ideal candidate will build strong partnerships with residents, staff and City Council to achieve desired results. A solid foundation in communication planning and strategic advising is critical, including a demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, while acting as a representative of the City. They will also have experience in providing support and advice to senior level management and experience managing, directing and leading staff. Required Qualifications: A University degree in a discipline related to the requirements of this position, such as Communications, Journalism, Arts or Political Science. Considerable related experience, with a minimum 5 - 7 years direct experience in communications, public relations or an associated field. Accreditation in a recognized body, including the Canadian Public Relations Society or the International Association of Business Communicators, is considered an asset. An equivalent combination of management approved education and experience may be considered.
