Job Description
Client Coordinator
•    one temporary (up to 12 months)

Demonstrate your communications expertise with the Ministry of Finance as you develop high-profile communications strategies and provide public affairs expertise for complex communications initiatives.
 
What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:
•    plan, lead and coordinate communications projects, ensuring they support the Ministry's business plans and government's strategic directions
•    strengthen communications and policy linkages through partnerships with policy and program counterparts in the ministry
•    provide proactive strategic issues management advice to senior management
•    coordinate market research and province-wide advertising campaigns in consultation with policy areas and the Deputy, Minister and Cabinet Offices
•    write content for speeches, marketing campaigns, statements, public events, news releases, brochures and other public documents
•    coordinate project planning and ensure that work is completed in an effective and professional manner

Location: 95 Grosvenor Street, Toronto, Ontario

Qualifications
How do I qualify?

Communications Knowledge and Skills:
•    you have demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic communication plans
•    you have knowledge of contemporary communications principles and practices
•    you have experience developing strategies that support business goals and priorities
•    you have knowledge of government policy development practices and decision-making process and protocols

Communication, Consultation and Negotiation Skills:
•    you are able to prepare presentation material, brief senior management and draft various documents
•    you are able to act with tact and diplomacy when working with colleagues and stakeholders

Project Management and Organizational Skills:
•    you can balance competing priorities in a high-pressure environment

Relationship Management and Leadership Skills:
•    you have experience providing guidance to staff and contacts
•    you are able to establish a network of contacts to strengthen partnerships

Note:
•    As a result of the recently agreed to AMAPCEO collective agreement, a new job evaluation system will be implemented on October 1, 2013. In the new job evaluation system, the classification level of this position is Level 5 with a salary range of $64,605.00 – $90,300.00

Salary range: $73,443.00 – $95,213.00 per year
