The City of Moncton is seeking an experienced Communications professional to provide strategic leadership in the planning, direction, coordination, and execution of all corporate communications functions. This is a senior role in the corporation and provides strategic communications advice and support to the Mayor and Council, the City Manager, senior management as well as to public and internal service administrators.

The Director of Communications is responsible for developing strategies and programs as they relate to corporate communications in support of the delivery of a wide range of municipal services. He or she will also be responsible for issues management, key message development, public information, corporate image and visibility, bilingual services, media relations and employee communications. The director will lead the strategic development and execution of all offline and online communication channels to promote City of Moncton activities and initiatives and engage citizens and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
You have proven your competence in communications programming and delivery, and your skill in building and motivating your team to peak performance is well established.

You possess strong interpersonal skills, you believe in teamwork and you have credibility and integrity in the profession.

You are fluent in both English and in French and have at least five years experience in a senior communications role.
