Job Description
Communications Coordinator, UOHI Foundation As Canada's largest and foremost cardiovascular health centre, the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI) is dedicated to understanding, treating and preventing heart disease. The UOHI Foundation, together with the generous and loyal philanthropic support of our community, has played a central role in shaping the evolution of the Heart Institute into a world-class heart health centre. The next few years will be exciting and landmark ones as the Heart Institute, with the enthusiastic support of its stakeholders and benefactors, breaks ground to build a new home. The Communications Coordinator is a new position that will provide comprehensive communications support to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation while at the same time liaising and working closely with the Institute’s Communications Department. If you are an energetic, results-oriented and innovative individual who would like to be part of this great journey, we would like you to join our team as our Communications Coordinator.
Qualifications
Specific Accountabilities Publications and Marketing Material Development Website Content Development Media Relations and Social Media Support Knowledge, experience and skills Ø Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in communications or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience Ø A minimum of three(3) years experience in the development and implementation of communications products and tools and experience working in a fundraising environment an asset Ø Proven analytical skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks for various stakeholders Ø Strong verbal and written communication skills in both official languages (For a complete job description, please visit http://ottawaheart.ca/careers/employment-opportunities.htm)
