Provide strategic internal communications counsel, planning and implementation to corporate and enterprise-wide clients. This includes developing plans for some corporate executive and senior management, as well as organizing employee meetings and other employee events.
Ensure development and implementation of internal communications plans in support of Enbridge’s strategic objectives.
Collaborate with Human Resources to develop and execute strategic plans that will enhance Enbridge’s reputation and support objectives related to hiring and retention. Help build employee engagement and design tools to help employees understand the company’s business and direction so they are more productive in their jobs.
Collaborate with IT on using technology to maintain and improve internal communication effectiveness across Enbridge.
Plan, develop and manage a suite of internal communication tools, including face-to-face, print, email, intranet and video. Seek out improvements and best practices to improve on the tools and add to them. Set standards for the use of these tools.
Share the standards, guidelines and best practices related to internal communication with business units to simplify their planning and encourage them to provide consistent internal communication across Enbridge.
Strategic management of direction and branding of elink (Intranet):
Provide overall strategic direction, governance and communications' counsel relating to elink.
Review reporting and measurement of the elink key performance indicators to ensure they are meeting internal communications objectives.
Team engagement and development:
Lead the Internal communications team, including coaching and mentoring, to build a cohesive departmental team who will work together and across business unit boundaries and ownership.
Exemplify and actively foster an environment of teamwork and cooperation within immediate team and across the enterprise Communications function.
Provide support to corporate executive and senior management related to Enbridge internal communications, including developing plans, organizing employee meetings, developing presentations, as well as writing internal speeches, articles, and announcements that are high level and strategic.
Develop internal communication standards, templates, pilot projects, etc. that can be used by business units to make it easy for them be consistent across Enbridge. Use influencing skills to increase the likelihood of consistent practices being used across the organization.
Ensure a good balance of internal communication approaches and tools are available that allow for interaction, information sharing and discussion.
Research and stay current on emerging trends and best practices related to internal communications. Seek out opportunities to help Enbridge use internal communication approaches and tools that will maximize reach and make the best use of budget dollars.
Participate on corporate crisis communications team. Provide communications assistance/co-ordination in a crisis to ensure communications in a crisis are timely and accurate to key internal audiences, to maintain/sustain corporate reputation.
